Vaccination against Covid-19 is certainly the most significant public health mobilization we have seen in our careers. It has also been a chance for health care organizations such as Southern Maine Health Care to work with individuals and business community members in this collaborative fight to keep our families and friends safe from this deadly virus, at our high throughput vaccine center in Sanford, Maine. At this location, our care team members, employees of York County and surrounding towns, and others are partnering to administer vaccine as new cohorts become eligible to receive it.
Shortly, all adults will be eligible for vaccination and it is crucial that we increase the number of persons willing to volunteer in our clinics.
Southern Maine Health Care is reaching out to businesses to see if there is interest in supporting this effort. Our team will schedule and train interested members of your organization to volunteer in any number of positions on dates that are convenient for them. We will gladly track and report their volunteerism so that you may maintain a history of their service to our communities.
